Before you go dancing in the rain with your partner remember to plan with him/her. One method you can use to plan is IMPLANON!

Implants are small plastic rods which are inserted in a woman’s arm and can prevent pregnancy for 3-5 years

You may wonder if there are side effects of implants. Some women experience:
•        Changes in menstrual patterns (could be irregular, prolonged, frequent or no menstruation).
•        Weight change
•        Mood change
•        Breast tenderness
•        Dizziness
•        Headache
This is normal!

Implants are safe for women. Listen, Blood does not build up inside the woman because she has an implant

The mode of insertion of the implant is through a minor procedure. An injection is given to numb the insertion site so you do not feel pain. The woman may feel some pressure during the insertion and her arm may be sore afterwards for a few days. The soreness will go away without treatment

Implants can be removed anytime the woman is ready to conceive. They stay in the arm until they are removed

Generally, a woman returns to her fertility quickly after implant removal but some women have to wait for a few months
