NGO set to empower school girls with free sanitary pads/ hygiene products to celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day 2018 HEAL FOR AFRICA INITIATIVE​ will officially launch the PATH project to commemorate the Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD2018) on the ​28th of May 2018​ at Al Ansar Secondary School, New Layout, Lokoja, Kogi State. The MHD is a day set aside globally to educate young girls and ladies in particular and the general public about Menstrual Hygiene as well as break the stigma and clarify myths and misconceptions around Menstruation. ​The event will also feature a health talk on Menstrual Hygiene, a practical session on how to make Reusable Sanitary Pads with locally available materials and distribution of free sanitary pads/ personal hygiene products to participants. As a conscious, patriotic and progressive youth, I could not help but register my dissatisfaction with my country’s plight alongside a volley of plea to your administration to rescue this dire situation. Excuse the curtness of my manners. The intensity of my pain has almost robbed me entirely of formality.
