If you grew up around Shitta/mushin then you will know the meaning of science students. It's a miracle how I ended up sane and well groomed as an adult - Narrator  Drugs destroyed many of my peers growing up. As at the time they were bosses and chairmen's tho You probably know someone who has been affected by drugs, directly or indirectly.  Let me share my friend's story his  name is Ola (Not real name) It started with the weeds then the pills and acid, making cocktails of all sort of drugs and overdosing to make them last longer He ended up homeless and on the streets living in a box, out of school and begging for alms. Young people today are exposed very early to drugs. Students now have people selling or offering them drugs on school property  -DRUGS affects the mind -Drugs destroy creativity. When the drugs wears off you crashes even lower than the highest you have ever been  Drugs and its effects  DAGGA: causes impaired memory

I’ll never forget the day i and my team where up all night, not only posting all over social media but making calls to find blood donors for a patient who needed urgent transfusion. How we ended saving 2 lives instead of one 😭😭 “Kilishi, oya oya, we just got a call. One woman in Specialist hospital needs blood o, she was brought in pale. She has No money. No blood match in the blood bank. No one to assist. (Erm, my mentor calls me Kilishi, Kilishi for Kelechi, lol) Sleep had cleared from my eyes sef as we drove the hospital. we were already posting on online... calls... looking for a match upandan. We got to the hospital and the sight of the patient was so heart wrenching. She was frail and white as paper It was about 12:30am. We didn't know how but we knew help will come. So we started the procedure. Gave a go ahead to the hospital to take samples for grouping and cross matching while we waited “I would have loved to donate but i am in Sokoto”. “OMG,

NGO calls for provision of WASH facilities in schools, trains 300 girls on menstrual hygiene #PATH

Dr Kelechi Okoro and group of happy girls with free sanitary pads  A Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Heal For Africa Initiative, has urged government and other stakeholders to provide WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) facilities in public schools across the country. Dr Kelechi Okoro, the Founder of the NGO, told newsmen at Al-Ansar Secondary School in Lokoja on Wednesday, that the call was part of activities to mark 2018 Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD), celebrated annually on May 28. According to her, universal, affordable and sustainable access to WASH is a key public health issue within international development and is the focus of Sustainable Development Goal 6. She said that the WASH facilities in schools would enable girl child to stay comfortably well in school during their menstrual period, saying "a girl must not miss school because of her menstrual period.’’ The NGO also trained and empowered over 300 schoolgirls in Kogi on sa
