Okaga ( Family Planning/Reproductive Health Coordinator Lagos SMOH) at a 3-days training organised for media personnels by Pathfinder International in Lagos.   Youth and adolescents need to be aware of their “Right to Health” which the media needs to help spread. Often times societal values, cultural and religion have served as barriers to the access an average Nigerian unmarried youth and adolescent have to reproductive health services. This in turn result to the poor judgement they demonstrate in their sexual life.  Dr. Okaga  also urged media practitioners to always approach her office for confirmation and clarifications where necessary and to avoid reporting  any misleading health information as health is a very sensitive issue. ...
